do the headlight motors on a '93 use the 3 nylon bushings as the drive?
mine run for a while after they close and sometimes don't open all the way without a little help. is it as simple as replacing the bushings?
I replaced the bushings and gear a couple weeks ago, but I am sure that I could have just gotten away with replacing only the bushings.
It's not hard at all. Open the hood, unhook the power connector to the headlight, unbolt the headlight assembly, open headlight motor, remove gear, clean out the debris inside, put bushings in gear, put back together.
I recommend after you unbolt the headlight from the hood, put a towel down on a table or workbench so you don't scratch the top of the headlight.
The old bushings will be ground into pieces and need to be cleaned out.
thanks, I have worked on Ford's for over 30 years and that looks like the bushings they used for years in their power window motors. we have those in stock
