Default flooding

92 vert, auto, 54k. This has happened a couple of times and now it just won't start. The only code that comes up is for the egr valve. It cranks over just fine and tries to hit, but then I can smell the gas. Where do I start? Thanks.

You need a fuel pressure guage to check the fuel pressure and to see if you have a leak in the fuel system. Check for spark also.

Try and hold the accelerator to the floor when cranking next time.

It tries to start but it sounds like it is hitting only on a couple cylinders , and I can't see any leaks any where, it ran fine a couple months ago, before I went into the hospital. I'll get a pressure gauge today and check it though. Thanks.

Could be that the injector(s) have a significant leak that you can't see. A fuel pressure guage and some starting pressure and leak down numbers will give a better idea of what to do next.

Have you "messed" with the distrubitor/timing recently?
