Default Spark plug replacement

After complaining each time I have to replace the plugs on my 87 coup about the GM Corvette engineering I have to apologize. I tried to replace the plugs on my wife's 02 Impala this afternoon. I am convinced that it is not possible! I got the 3 up front (3.2 liter) but the 3 in back cannot be reached by a human being. GM engineering is as abysmal on their other vehicles as it is on the Corvette! I only own GM vehicles so I am not aware of shortcomings on other makes or models. It is quite possible they are all this way, I fear.

Try changing the plugs on a V-8 F-Body (Camaro, Firebird). You can't actually see the plugs as you gaze into the engine bay.

I was looking at my 03 Bonneville yesterday, thinking that I ought to be getting ready to replace the plugs in it. The front ones don't look too bad, but the back side looks to be a beotch. I think all the vehicles are the same anymore.

My 96 monte carlo 3.4 requires removing the upper intake, TB, and coil pack. Cocking the motor forward does not work.

Of course, GM has had problems with the long booted plug wires on 3.4's burning up at the bottom of the head, and yep is't usually one of the back 3.

GM engineers!

The '01 malibu is no fun either, but possible with a mirror. Its helpful to have a daughter that works in a dentist office and can "work backwards" thru the mirror to get the socket on and the new plug started.

The Vette isn't all that bad, I just replaced mine (2nd time). The first time took me about 3 1/2 hours to do (really cautious the first time), and the other night (I was finishing up the roller rockers), the two that took so long the first time (back two on the passenger side) were nothing. I could change them all out in 30-45 minutes now.
