I was looking at the hedman #61448, The tech at hedman said they will not work because of the staight plugs, anyone run into this problem wiyh the staight plugs. If not hedman what kind are we running.
Most that run the elites run the 68448- which is the ones without smog tubes.
That's odd...
especially since they are built to fit iron headed c4's only (84 - 86). They have smog tubes, but do not have an egr tube.
They are also the ones I wanted to buy. I asked a few weeks ago if anyone here is using them...
I dont know about those hedmans, but it is probably that several of the plugs either touch the header primary or that any plug wire you put on it will. On an 84-86E i dont know of any that don't have rub issues. TPiS rubs on #7, and you could have rub on #6 depending on the wire boot thickness. I had to use heat socks to protect them from burning through. Hooker has the same issue with the straight plug head.
I have headman long tubes on my 85 and have no clearance prob. with the wires. dont know the part no.
Same here. I won't say I have no problems but I have none I can't work around. I had to cut down a plug socket to get to #1 plug but otherwise nothing major.
