Flat Tire
Depending on the year of the car, the jack can be at the bottom of the passenger side storage compartment or in a bag attached to the spare tire that is in the carrier under the rear end. The factory lug wrench (such as it is
) will be either behind the driver's seat or in the storage compartment depending on the year. There is a bolt below and behind the rear license plate that you loosen to lower the spare tire. You will also have a small lamp that lights up with the interior lights so that you can see at night.
The spare tire is probably the most neglected part of a C4. It's out of sight and flat tires are uncommon anymore so there is no real impetus to check the spare until you really need it. The chances are pretty good that the spare will not have any air in or nowhere near enough air to be useable. It needs 60psi to be able to run at the designated 50MPH for short distances.
Place the jack on the lower body rocker panel between the two molded arrows on the bottom edge. Thee are two sets of arrows for the front and rear. Raise the car carefully and swap the tires.
The spare tire tub will accomodate up to a 285/40-17 tire and wheel but a 315/35 tire will not fit. There are two notches on the front of the tub that allows the tub to lower enough to insert the road tire.

Yep mine is in a factory sleeve bag that clips down ontop of the spare. You wont see it until you drop the spare donut wheel. The lug wrench is behind the drivers seat under a factory hold-down clamp on top of the rear seat rail mounts. And your factory wheel lock should be in console rear area with a clip mount as well. I have a 90 so I will make the bold assumption yours will be the same.
Bit of advise it easier to reinstall the donut when you done with it by removing the rear license plate. Gives you a better view. Goldcylon
