Default problems after 2 week nonop

Weather has been nasty for a few weeks, today sun came out,so I took the cover off and fired her up after a 2 week slumber.
Fired right up,went in the house to get a cup, came out in a few,and it was @ 1700! Snapped the throttle, would not come off high idle,WTF?
Finally came off high idle.Temps went to 235,main fan did not come on.
Shut down.Turned ignition back on,didn't try a start, front aux fan came on and contiued to run, main fan would not run, turned key off.
Jumperd the ALDL,main fan came on.OK,now what?
Let her sit for a bit, restart, now everthing is back to normal, let her run and get up to temp,225 main fan comes on ,temps and idle normal, runs great.
I am almost 100 percent convinced that these 20 something cars donot like not to be run.I was driving it almost every day without a problem,I let it rest for a few weeks and things go foul.
I've heard more that one story of this.I'm by no means a computer guy,but I'm thinking it might have something to do with the ECM going night night for too long.
I'm almost sure that my VCR most likely has more "brains" than my 20 year old ECM!
Anyway whatever glitch happened,it's fine now.
Anyones take on this one?

I tend to agree about these cars not liking extended non-op periods, though I can't think ofa logical reason for it. Ever since I purchased my Harley I tend to let the vette sit for long periods. Every time I get back in her, something goes wrong.

Wow, mine's just the opposite! If I drive it every day, the PKE doesn't always work like it should. If I let it sit for 4 or 5 days, it perks right up and everything clicks just like it should.

At first, I thought this was just my imagination, but, it really happens. Guess I'm just crazy.
