Default AC Compressor Part #

Does anyone have the part # handy for the ac air compressor for the '96? And, is this a compressor that was soley for the vette or was it used in other model vehicles? Thanks for the input.

In the parts catalog it shows 10243781 (AC Delco 15-2913).
But, it looks like this part number has been replaced by 10268616
(AC Delco 15 20108)

Not sure if they are interchangeable with other cars.

Nippodenso bodies are often the same (Porsche, Lexus, Infiiniti), but the manifold is often unique to the make. I don't know of any savings by going with another model and then swapping parts to make it work. Go to www.acdelco.com for current part # and x-reference. If all you have is a leaking shaft seal (pretty common on the Nippos), you can get a seal kit from NAPA for about 50 Bucks or any of the online a/c sites like www.ackits.com (rebuilds too).
