Mine was much worse! The 94 started running bad (optispark was about to park). I backed the car into the garage and removed the opti, when I was done I closed the electric garage door without closing the hood. Did you know the top of the hood when open is over six feet high? Well the door caught the tip of the open hood and put a big chip in the new paint and a good sized chip in the hood material! Good for about $500 I think! :cry

Man I like this thread already. We can put our dumbest things here...
My passenger valve cover was leaking so I was going to put in the FelPro permadrys. Got the old one off, put the new one on, torqued down the valve cover nuts. Started the engine. Seemed OK. Next morning I woke up and thought I ought to check around the edge of the valve cover to make sure I didn't trap any of those little wires under the valve cover. What I found was I had trapped the spark plug wire underneath in the back where you can't see and then when I torqued the valve cover nuts down I bent the flange on the valve cover.
New valve cover is now on the way and oil just drips out of the valve cover now...
Have one on me 90

Spent 2 weeks of banging knuckles to replace coil, wires, and plugs, to fix a missing problem, only to have it run great for about 15mins, and then spin a bearing! I think I'll take a case of BEER!

We know man. We feel your pain. I'll have a bad day under the hood and need to step away from the garage to clear the head and regain proper perspective. Friday night I'm bolting the intake manifold back on ,and on the last bolt, crossthread it and strip it out. I was ripping my hair out. Saturday I come back and helicoil it in less than 5 minutes. Problem solved. Crisis over. Life is about overcoming these trying situations. Have at it again. Beer's on me.
