Here's my 92 Bright Aqua Metallic. Quasar Blue (offered simultaneously) looks about the same to me in pictures, but I've been told you can tell the diff in person.
My second ZR1 was Turquoise Metallic, available only in model years '90 & 91. It was replaced with Bright Aqua Metallic in '92. Only 16 ZR1s were painted Turquoise in '90 and 94 in '91 for total of 110...not a big seller.
From: Why are there squished peanut butter cups in my underware?
IMO, Chevy mixed up the names of these two colors.
RPO-42 Turquoise Metallic looks like an "aqua marine".
While RPO-43 Bright Aqua Metallic looks like an "indian jewerly turquoise".
Stunning!
My 91 was the same color from the factory but two owners ago, it was painted red. someday, i would love to take it back to that color again. there is not too many of them out there!
STUNNING and great photos!
And, YEP...Only 1621 Turquoise Metallic produced in '91 of the 20639 total Vettes produced per Corvette Black Book
Yea, my 91 is turquise metalic. love the color!!!! one of the reasons I bought the car. Its all original paint but a bit faded as original owner never garaged it [didnt drive it much either] Ed

Thanks!
Although I can't take all the credit... when I went to the dealership to look at this car, I could tell the previous owner (who had owned it for 11 years) took great care of it. So it was an easy job to clean it up... just needed a good wax and glaze to come out like that.
