Default Winter Fun

With the weather predicted to be between 65 – 70 degrees in the Mid Atlantic tomorrow, how many members are planning to take out their Vettes for a ride?

I will be getting up at o dark thirty tomorrow, to take down the outside Christmas lights and decorations on my house. I will proceed to wash and dry the Vette around noon. I will then enjoy the afternoon with a cruise to wherever the road takes me.

Definition of a great Mid Atlantic January winter cruise day.

man I screwed up this year. I took the car off the road around Thanksgiving time in anticipation of winter coming. I am installing a complete '91 interior this winter which is easiest to accomplish if you swap out the dash and engine harnesses at the same time. Since the '91 swap means a swap to Speed Density when a forum member here needed a MAF I sold him mine. Now it's going to be 58 degrees in Vermont tomorrow and I can't drive my damn car because I don't have a MAF

Oh well it will be ready for Spring...

ENJOY the ride tomorrow!!

I will be taking mine out tomorrow, but then, I'm in Arizona, where it is also supposed to be about 70*. Need to burn some of those carbon deposits out. Might even put on a hat and put the top down.

Vt. Vette, I will blip the throttle for you tomorrow, several times on my cruise. And when the day is done, and the Vette is in the garage, I will drink a beer to you and your Vette!

Thanks Man! I will drink a beer to your cruse tomorrow!

I have a lifted '93 Chevy stepside pickup with 35" tires and fresh black paint. It's about as heavily modded as my Vette. It's not the same as the Vette but it is a great ride.

Have FUN tomorrow!

Weather is Southwest Connecticut has been extremely mild so far, I have been driving mine every chance I get. I do not put the car away for the winter..but I won't take it out if there is snow, sand or salt on the ground..so far so good the winter has been great!

I think what has helped situation with the snow this winter, is 6 guys at work bought snow blowers collectively to get a group discount. I thanked them yesterday for the mild weather. VinceC4, I follow the same rules of engagement as you when it comes to winter Vette driving. January 6, 2007, 8 AM, 64 degrees, got to love it.

Since I just got my daily driver back, I'll be driving everyday like I used to unless there is more than 3" of snow.

I never have to take mine out since it is always out.

Yeah. I'll be driving the Vette this weekend, maybe even take the top off.

I have never been one to put the Vette away for the Winter. I drive it mostly on the weekends as long as there is no snow on the ground or it is not raining. Besides my inspection month is January so I have to drive it at least once every two years to get it inspected.

The weather here has been great so far this Winter so I am taking advantage of it and driving the Vette every weekend!

Am I jealous, you bet. In New Mexico snow should be on the mountains and not in my driveway. Got another dusting last night.

82° expected here in mid Florida. Should only be in the 60's. Hope it says this way for a couple of weeks as a show in Kissimmee and a Florida Corvette get-together at the Don Garlit's Museum of Racing is planned for upcoming weeks.

My 86 is under reconstructive surgery right now (injector swap) and my 95 needs new tires and a belt.

But worse than that....I have no were to go.

VtVette, several blips of the throttle under bridges sounded real good with the top off today.

Ogres84 I will pass the thanks on to them on Monday.

Hang in there firstvette2 & RRT vette, things will be looking up shortly.

The weather was great, the cruising was fun, and now the beer is cold. What a fantastic day.

Life is short, have fun!
