I know what you mean. It's like putting thick cellophane (more like clear plastic) over the paint. This product was suggested by the company that (used to) sell side exhaust (powereffects).

Actually, the only chip I've gotten in the 6mos since painting was due to a flying rock on the highway. (And, the result was minor). Some things you just can't protect against!
