I was thinking of repainting my 84 back to its original color of red right now ts purple with ghost flames the paint code is 72

I would have to say go with the original color if your gonna repaint it.

a friend of min owns a paint and body shop he gives me a discount so he'll paint it for me he's been painting for over 20 years

im getting my '84 painted now... Admiral blue.

it took a long time for me to decide what to do, the best advice i have is follow your heart and keep an eye out for good colors

In that case go for it. The car has already been painted once and Purple isn't doing the car any favors.
