Hi
i am new to this forom since last night .
I don't own a corvette but pretty soon i'll be the owner of a complete rebuild 1991 TPI corvette engine .
When i say complete is except starter and alternator
To fit in a car
My problem is that i need the location of the serial number location on these engine
Cause the engine is presently in Florida and i live in Montreal Canada
They guy who's selling it as already packed it and wrapped it in transparent shrink plastic .
And he does not want to undo the whole thing .And the custom are needing that serial number to accept the transfer of th shipping to Canada. If somebody can help to locate the nummber will let him to go straight at it .
Later on i will need a way to splice my wiring to the Corvette wiring and ECM
Thank you
OK
And also when i went to a dealership
Theytold me that it was located on the back of the engine on the lefthand side of the lock at ten o'clock near the tranny bellhousing , could it be?
I am new to the forum. I am looking for a motor that came out of 1967 Corvette, put in 1968 Camaro. The information is for 427 engine casting #3504351 serial # 7117860 this engine was owned by Kenneth W Wilson in 1967 it came from Harvey Chevrolet Radford VA. If someone knows a better way to find this engine please let me know.

Your search led you to a 13 yr old post in the C4 corvette section. You likely won't find help much here with a C2 question. If you're inquiring about a 1967 vette engine, click on the C1 and C2 section (those 2 gens are combined here) and post your question there. Good luck and welcome to the Corvette Forum
You can join NCRS which costs $50 for a year, but member ads in The Driveline are free. There is a section in the driveline for inquiries and requests for info and parts for Corvettes. Put your request in just the way you worded it above. There are quite a few NCRS guys that stockpile vintage Corvette engines and blocks, and know the serial numbers of the blocks they have. Might be worth $50 for a year to run the add in the 6 Drivelines. Never know.
One certainly doesn't EVER KNOW does one???
****I just assumed (in error I guess) that an NCRS flag waver wouldn't just link to the group BUT SPONSOR the individual!!!!
