Did the 90 still have the full LCD dash, or is this the first year they went to that updated dash?

On my '89 I once lost the miles per gallon instant/average and the range/trip counter. It turned out to be a bad ECM. I think it was broken by removing and connecting the positive terminal of the battery cable to disconnect power instead of the negative one. After being careful with connecting the battery I have not had another failure.

pull out your mulitmeter buddy and look at the wiring diagram. it could be many things. if you are incapable of that you need to take it to a shop

Could be a no signal getting to the dash or the lcd itself. You may have to send out the unit for repair.

Try pulling the wiring diagrams and seeing if the leads to the LCD as sending anything.

Can you see the display when the car is turned off? If so then you dash is what is called sunburnt and the liquid crystal displays need replaced.

Its the updated dash also called the Hybrid dash. 89 was the last year for the Star Wars Atari style dash. At least thats how my 90 looks. Any chance a fuse could be involved here?
