Default Getting a window sticker

I was wondering where you guys can get an OEM looking windowsticker? I need someone to do it by the VIN number because I have almost no other information. Does anyone know of a place that can do this for a reasonable cost?

The Corvette Museum does both the window sticker and the build sheet. Here's a link:

Contact the National Corvette Museum.

They can get you the original window sticker and the build sheet.

Hey.....don't know how that happened.

Your reply wasn't there when I replied.

Your computer must be faster than mine. Sorry 'bout that.

No problem. My reply is just one minute ahead of yours so we were both typing at the same time, I just finished up and sent right before you did.

Ive read people really liked the stuff the corvette museum had, but are there any cheaper alternatives?

Possibly but the $$ to the museum help support our passion for the car.

And the window sticker / build sheet combo looks good on the wall.

To get the exact version for your car, no. GM has turned over all of their data to the NCM. The NCM does the printing of the documents.

I had the museum laminate my window sticker and sometimes lay it on the dash at car shows. People seem quite interested in the price of the car and options back in 87'.

True. You can get dummy ones printed but they are not for your car.

There used to be a web site out there somewhere that had a Word document template for a Corvette window sticker.

When did GM change everything over to NCM? I am only wondering because my dad said he got the window sticker from some place in motor trend for his 91, it was around $20, but this was 8 years or so ago so something may have changed..

Im most likley going to order everything from NCM, is the "black book" something I should get? Will it tell me exactly how many cars of mine were made with the exact options, or is it a waste? My dad is a NCM member for a year because of his new car.

The Black Book will tell you how many cars were made, how many with each option and how many of each color.

It does not give a breakdown by option groups so you really have no way of knowing how many cars were equipped exactly like yours.

Some people play with the numbers and percentages to get a rough idea but it's not an exact thing.

So it basically tells you what is listed on there website, just the number of cars with different engines, colors, editions...?
Sounds to me like it is nothing special, or is it something different?

I'm sure you could find most of the info elsewhere but having it all in a single book is convenient.

GM did not keep records of specific options/colors/interior combiniations by car so the available data is based on the number of options sold by themselves.

Getting the current "Black Book is a good idea as you can use it as a pocket reference. This website also has good online information and the data there is based on the Black Book: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/
