NEW pAINT!!!
almost. i went to pick up my '84 from the painters today... i looked it over before i paid and i found a problem. the tape on the door came lose and there was a little(but obvious) area that it covered that didnt get painted. 
. they were going to have it fixed for me in the morning so i sould be able to post pic's soon. i have some now but i dont want to post them before im all done.
btw, it was silver... now its admiral blue

it wasnt bad at all.
but(isnt there always a but), i did 90% of the prep work myself... over 60 hours. and i supplied my own paint. and i knew the guy who owns the place painting it.
the total for a really good sealer, primer, base coat, and clear coat... was a little over a grand... and well worth it. but, the paint was only 700 of that. i had a lot of problems with the body like blistering paint, chipped fiberglass, deep scratches, chiped areas, rock marks all over the front, etc. and the labor for that ran the price up.
but when i post up pic's there is some where you can see all of the sealer that they put on areas that they fixed. it is a good 40% of the body
