sounds interesting I dont have any pictures though I have seen people good with computers do things in photoshop to see what they look like.
do you have photoshop and a picture if so try that first.
I have a better idea for you. Go buy some gloss black contact paper, the kind you line your kitchen cabinet shelves with. Cut it out and apply it to your B-pillar. Once done, step back and ask yourself if you like it on your car.
That stuff goes on and comes off easily. It won't damage your paint, and you will get to see the effect in person on your car.
Here is a picture of my previous '89 Coupe. I had the windows tinted and painted the top and halo black. I left the mirrors red as they were mounted to the red doors.
Here's a real quick photoshop of it as a two tone. The black looks kind of funny because there are no highlights on the white car (in the picture the upper part of the car doesn't really have any reflections and it looks like a white "blob") so the black, similarly, looks like a solid black blob. I had to play with the contrast to give it some shape, but it still looks too fake. The tint on the window was another problem, since the window was down it's hard to tint a window that isn't there. Again, there were no highlights on the glass to make it look natural, so I applied a 60% opaque black part over the window. I can make it a bit darker if you want, but it's going to still look silly.
90 thanks for the photoshop...but Im with you and Frank...I dont like the two tone either...what i was looking for is JUST the mirrors painted in addition to the top bar...not to...the images of the black and red cars give me a pretty good idea...
