A friend of one of the employees in the parts department where I work saw the set of 86 wheels I have sitting near my desk, and asked me if I have a corvette(no, I just collect the wheels, duh!). He then proceeded to tell me that he has a 92 convertible that was special, balanced and blueprinted from the factory, that he has all the paperwork, and it's called a LT 350 with 400hp stock. I asked him if he had a dyno sheet proving that, but he dodged the question. I've never heard about this car ever, and I'm subjected to an assault of corvette trivia every day from my boyfriend. Did something like this exist or is he just another idiot who knows nothing about his car?

When you think about all it takes to develop and certify a new car for sale, it's really unlikely that any company would do this on the volume of one car. Especially a big company like GM.
Do you keep wheels at your desk as like decoration/ambiance?

Just another idiot.
He may be mixing some Calloway facts...or even LT5....in with his story by mistake, so ask him to clarify a bit....
Better yet, ask him to bring in that paperwork.
The LT-5 has 405hp in 94 & 95. Wasn't it only 375hp in 92? And all the LT engines are 350's so he's just full of it. Even if it was balanced and blueprinted it'd probably have to be bigger than a 350 to make 400hp.

So yeah, I'm pulling the BS card too
Yes, the ZR1 was only 375hp in 1992. It got bumped up to 405 in 1993. and the only GM built vert ZR1 that I know of is in the NCM. 26 produced, none offered to the public, and those were 1991's. So to answer your question Laurel.... Yes, he is just another idiot who knows nothing about his car, or he is knowingly making statements about his car.

Tell him that you know a guy who knows a guy who is related to a guy who lives next door to another guy who owns a 89 LT400/350-LS7-450/30. Ask him if he is interested in buying it as it is for sale.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
