I just got a new set of proform diecast aluminum valve covers (polished) according to the book they will fit does any one have some info or advice? Sorry its a 92 and the factory covers are doing that chipping thing they do and it looks like(#$*%) if you know what i mean @my neibor is always pointing that out every time we go to car shows.

Your 92 LT-1 will require a few mods to fit die cast aluminum valve covers. You will have to shim the alternator mounting bracket where it bolts to the intake manifold. Now the fun part. You will have to grind the alternator rear bearing area to clear the cover. If you grind through the aluminum, seal it with epoxy. Ask me how I know. You may also have to ream or drill oversize the alternator mounting flange to get the bolt to match with the support. Its not as hard as it sounds and looks great when your done.
Thanks for the heads up ,thats exactly what I was looking for,might install this weekend if the wife is working ,she doesnt know I got them and I want to keep it that way once thier in the car she will never know the differance ( she takes all the fun out of it)
