My Bose Radio in my 87 coupe.. starting acting up yesterday.. Here is what is happening... I was listening to the radio when all of a sudden I heard a pop and some static.. Heard it few more times.. Got out of work and turned on the car.. No volume... flipped through the stations only static.. a little while later the radio comes back on.... This has been happeing off and on.... Then sometimes turn the radio on and nothing, can't change stations and also noticed the clock stops working... it was stuck at 6:31 for a half an hour... Any idea what is wrong with it..
That sounds totaly weird. Sounds like major failure of the unit. I had lots of problems with my '85 bose system and opted to gut it in favor of a more up to date solution. Got an Alpine system and no more fussing with the bose system. Just my .02 worh! Good luck. :flag
the popping could mean that you need to repair or replace your bose amps. There is a repair how-to in the tech-tips section. I am not sure why the clock would stop though.
