Default Wet Okleese question

I would like to put some kind of cover on my white leather seats in the vette. I was wondering, do these type of seat covers bleed color to the seats they are on?

You spelled it wrong, it's Wet Okole (pronounced O-ko-le, not oakley)

I have red seats and the covers were red and black. I don't recall any bleeding through.

I don't have them anymore, so I don't remember if the backing was white, tan or the color of the cover.

Have them for a few yrs----very good covers --no color bleed. For a durable good looking seat cover I dont know of any better.

They look and feel good. My only complaint is that the side bolsters tend to wear out after a couple of years. Be sure to rotate them frequently and this problem may not occur.

Okole in Hawaiian means butt, hence, wet okole=wet butt. Very good seat covers have them on 3 vehicles.

I have the black ones on my white C-4 seats for the last 5 years.
No bleed at all...

I had them on my C4 for about a year , then I bought new mounted leather seats.
During that year, the the colors did not run.

Also, they are made from wet suit material, they are waterproof. If you spill soda on it, it will wipe off without staining. Also, they never get hot if you leave the top off in the sun.

I think the material is called neoprene.

I've had mine for 4yrs. They still loook new, my vette is garage kept.
One issue i had is the glue or something else from the covers stain my gray seats. The stains follow the stitch lines of the seat covers.

I've also heard of some fading if the car is parked outside 365 days a year. Okole does sell a spray to help with that,

Does anyone have pictures they can post? I'm interested in getting some to protect the new seats I want to order. I'd like to see them in some different colors. What would look best on a 95 polo green vert with saddle interior and top? Pin stripping, two tone, emblem, all black, etc.??

Thanks

yes and no. They will protect them in the sense that any spills or farts won't get to the leather, but if you don't remove the covers every so often, you will dry out the leather and they will crack.

As long as you don't mind removing them and conditioning the seats, you would be OK.

Steve!

Actually old data isn't removed, but with such a large database, it's hard, dare I say impossible to find the old posts, but they are out there.

Now if hosting sites no longer exist(like photopoint) then of course the pics won't be there.

I would get two tone in black and tan with the emblem.

I don't have any pics of them on the car handy, but here they are by themsleves.
