Headlight Dimmer Problem
My headlight dimmer is not working on my 1990, it doesn't "click" when I pull on the turn signal lever. Anyone ever have that problem and know how to fix it. Thanks

I just found out when I took my 1991 ZR-1 to get it inspected that my dimmer switch also doesn't work. I haven't had time to figure out what went wrong with it yet. My guess is I'll have to pull the steering wheel to get to the switch.

The dimmer switch activator aka: signal light handle, is connected to a rod that travels about midway down the steering column, and connects to the dimmer switch. After time, corrosion/dirt takes it's toll on the switch. It's probable that the problem is in the switch itself.

Or a simple adjustment, or the rod having popped out of the switch.

I checked the dimmer switch and it appears to work. The switch end of the rod is still securely in place. I guess it's time to check the other end of the rod at the signal light lever. Not looking forward to this, but it's got to be done.
