Does anyone know why there is no supply of new clutch salve cyclinders for the '90 C4? I've called everywhere and cannot find stock. The manufacturers aren't saying when there will be more available. What about rebuild kits? Has anyone had success finding one?
I have a 90 coupe. Just replaced the slave and hose assembly with a 91. The clutch master cylinder is the same but I had it replaced anyway. It's working fine and I had the dealer do it. Do it yourself or be prepared for a hefty bill of about $900. Central Coaster told me it could be done in a driveway in about 6 hours and about $270.
I wonder if my car has a newer style slave cylinder with the bleeder valve in a different position. The bleeder screw is pointed into the fiberglass of the tunnel. It is so close that there is actually a small hole in the tunnel where it apparently has rubbed. It sure looks odd. I wonder if bleeding is an easy task with it like this.

This is the old slave cylinder. Mine is this way too. Apparently why they changed it.

The manual tells you to break the bleeder valve off once the system is bled. No kidding, that's what the manual says.
