1 fill out your profile - old timers here are more likely to help U
2 do a search on reading codes, codes, etc - the how to are there
3 Check the tech notes section

Rolf even though you cleaned the bottom of the sensors on the frame they still could be bad. Usually the right side sensor is the culprit. Peel back the carpet in the footwell area of the passenger side and you will see the plug to the frame sensor(might be tough to see) it's a dull yellow color. BEFORE YOU UNPLUG IT DISSCONNECT YOUR BATTERY! When you unplug it look at the plug comming in from the sensor. You will notice a small notch in the connector face this toward the bottom when you do this test. Looking at it now there should be a single pin at the top (pin#1) and #2 bottom left pin#3 bottom right. Get an Ohm meter and test pin's #1 and 2 they should OHM about 10,000 same with 1 and 3 but 2 and 3 should be less than 1 If any of these are out of spec the sensor is bad about 60 bucks at GM dealer. Then you will have to clear the code after the repair. Good luck with the repair maybe I can help more. Let me know how ya make out Pipe

Default thanks for helping me i finaly figured out my problem

my dad left the car at the chevy dealer to fix the radio two years ago, they kept the car for two months and when he got it back they had put a new radio in and a battery switch because the battery was draining down in two days. they told him it was the a/c and it was a big job to fix. I moved back to sweden a year a go, i started with putting back the original radio and speakers..... to make a long story short, i purchashed a scanning tool, ecm ,ccm,a/c cotroller,a/c programmer and it still did not work no codes and no ses light then i found this forum and started to ask for help.... i downloaded the hole electrical manual 90 vettes from 'rokka', a member from finland, and started to follow cables ... when i came to the ses light and under the passenger side glovecompartment some idiot hade reversed two connections -- now the car works great .... it has only taken me 6 months but would have been much longer without help from the forum. Thanks.

Rolf now the SIR/ INFL REST light is off also? Sounds like a easy fix to me. Alot of times it's the frame sensor itself that goes bad no matter how much you clean under them. Pipe
