Shock question
I am looking to replace the shocks on my 96. Does anyone know if the
Z51 shocks will fit the base model? I'm looking for something to improve the handling a bit but not totally kill the ride.

Yes the shocks will fit. But without the stiffer springs I doubt the handling will improve much. If your shocks are shot you should see a improvement with any good quality shocks.

Whack a set of KONI yellow adjustables on it instead. The Z51 shocks will fit, the mounting points are identical, however the difference will probably be next to nothing. The KONIs are not the cheapest set, but it will be the last set of shocks youll ever buy for that car.
