Dash security light question?
I've got a stupid question:o
I had to replaced the dash in my car and I notice that the security light is always on. I just may have not noticed this before, but I didn't see this on all the time on the old dash. Is it supposed to go off?
If so, after how many minutes?

Mine's a '92 coupe.
Security light definitley NOT on while driving.
I notice it flashing when I enter or exit the car. Couldn't tell you how long it flashes in each instance, but must be a short time only....maybe 30 sec???
Don't know if it flashes when car is shut off.....haven't looked....but have NOT noticed it flashing when the car is parked.

I am trying to remember...when I turn off the car, pull the key, and open the door it is flashing. Then when I hit the power door lock button is goes solid...then when I shut the door it goes out after 20 seconds. I think...she's been in storage since Oct and my mind is a little fuzzy today.... Mine is a 92 coupe also.
