Hello ~~ I'm looking at a '96 Collectors Edition. When I asked the current owner about the features of the car,he knew the basics only. When I asked him to read the RPO codes off the bottom of the center console lid he said that nothing was there, but that it appeared something had been stuck there.
Did I have him look in the right place? If I did, and the sticker is indeed gone, where might another be found? I seem to remember that there may be one under the gas tank or some place handy like that, but I don't think I'm that curious. Any other ways to find out the RPO codes by using the VIN, etc.? Thanks in advance for your assistance ~~ Oxo.
My '96 convertible has the code sheet under the storage locker lid behind the passenger seat. To get a COMPLETE list of '96 RPO codes go to Rottie's web site at http://www.lightstream.net/~rottie/1996RPOlisting.htm
The dealer replaced my console lid under warranty.I didn't notice until some time later the Rpo tag was missing.Called the dealer and he said he couldn't get a new tag but would get me a Rpo list for my car from GM.In about 2 weeks he had it.Tell your dealer the same story and have him order a Rpo list for your car.
