It's not an LT1. You're right, they were great running engines, as long as you enjoy adjusting the solid lifters every 100 hours (+/-). LT1/427/454 all had the raised center section of the hood. The LT1 has a decal on the ridge, and the big blocks have chrome numbers. I bought this particular car because it was so heavily optioned and the color I LOVE.
WOW one of my most favorite colors...what a great find!!! Looks like an easy NCRS top flight award car. For the comments re LT-1 hood etc, here's a picture of one of my old LT-1s (easy 13.89 quarters all the time)
