center caps Q....

will a 1988-1996 center cap fit a 84-87 wheel? I like the look of the chrome cap, but cant find one for the 84-87 wheel

Nope! But if your inspired to do so, you can carefully peel the face off the newer cap and mount it on the older plastic base. NOTE: The tabs on the older plastic caps are easily broken.

Thought about doing just that. How do you get the old one off? I tried (not very hard) to pry it off with a dry wall knife, but didn't get far.
