It's a sweet photo, SJW. Even my best ones suffer from flat lighting.
Thanks. I just got lucky with this shot. I'd just arrived home from work one evening a coupla years ago, stopped the Vette at the bottom of the driveway so that I could step indoors to disarm the security system in the house before opening the garage, and as I turned to head back out and pull the car inside, the way the late-day light was playing on the Vette just took my breath away. I stepped back inside to grab the Nikon, and snapped a quick shot of the car from the front porch, then put the camera away and forgot about it. I had no idea the photo had turned out so well until some time later when I finally got around to pulling it off the camera onto the 'puter, where I saw it for the first time on a decent sized screen.
To give you some idea of how spur-of-the-moment that photo was, I had to photochop out the trash can that had been laying at the curb where the garbage collectors had left it earlier in the day -- I didn't even take the time to move it before shooting the pic (and I didn't notice then that the driver's door was ajar, either). Needless to say, the grass could have used a trim, too!
I'm in the process of buying a set of painted thins from a forum member. These are going to look great under my Aqua '94!
Thanks for the great shots folks....you all confirmed my suspicions.
