Mirror Thingys?
I'm trying to find out if these mirror "wind screens" or "thingys" are original equipment. (RE the black things that fill the gap between the outside rearview mirror and the windshield frame) Are these aftermarket or OEM? I'm pretty sure they are aftermarket because I've seen them in Mid America, but the original owner kept this car fairly-stock and well documented. So before I try to take them off I want to make sure... Thanks for any help.

They came stock on 86 verts and I think on all Corvettes 1987 and newer.

I think that they came stock on all Convertibles to help cut down on wind noise. They are on my 1990 Vert.

And they should have come on all C4s.

If yours is not a vert those are not stock. The stock ones have a slight curve toward the windshield!

All I can say is, don't buy the aftermarket plastic ones from Ecklers. They are crap and don't fit right. They leave a 1/2" gap there.
