Are C4's better suited to 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile tracks? Because they are considered torque monsters I was thinking 1/8 would be better for performance. Whats your view?
The gear would be the most important factor in determining this.
Running OEM factory original gears in the rear. 91 Automatic. Don't forget I found this car under a shade tree. The engine and transmission are beefed up for sure. The rear end handles speeds on the highway at 80 to 90 with no undue strain or peaking rpms. If I only had some spare time I'd run it to the dyno shop and let the figures do the talking. I hope to do that soon. Right now everything is just assumption. I want to do just a couple of trial runs to get a feel for it.

Absolutely suited to the 1/8th mile.
I run neck and neck against LS1 f-bodies, C5s, older Cobras, new stang GTs, etc with my 85 on drag radials, but always had a big advantage on the other similar power/weight vehicles even on stock tires. The only stock ones I have trouble with are the STIs, they have a big advantage on the 1/8th also.
Give any of those guys twice that distance, and they'll catch up and pass me almost every time.
An 1/8th will heavily favor the better driver as well. People that say 1/8th mile isn't drag racing don't have enough talent.
