Does not understand Corvettes!
did you mean Acura Written? (Sorry)
I like how they didn't include the Vette in that particular test...if they did they would have seen how poorly the NSX compared to the Vette
1/4 Mile ET: 11.941
1/4 Mile MPH: 116.520
1/8 Mile ET: 7.672
1/8 Mile MPH: 88.570
0-60 Foot ET: 1.667
That article is pure representation of the anti American rhetoric that been allowed to permeate our society.....while most just sit back and allow crap to be said.
This guy should be lambasted....in hindsight the NSX was a very slow very overpriced Japanese car that enjoyed tons of hype from a willing media despite the "Facts" proving or Dis-proving the claims made by Acura/Honda and Spoon fed to Skulls full of mush.
I mean, How can you write one word of comparison after a car post a 13.9 second 1/4 mile?? I am sorry, a 14 second 1/4 mile is not really fast, let's not get into the 0-60 mph foot 6 second spec.......I don't care how well a car handles, if another car is so far out in front after the first second.....handling is a moot point.
I won't get into the prediction part of it as I want to give the guy credit fro not owning a Crystal Ball......so He was wrong. OK he had 50/50 chance.
But the NSX thing is just un-acceptable. The Specs where readily available to him yet still ignored for the love of an import.
We all enjoy the back and forth, but I usually win.
In the end it doesn't matter how fast the car is or what it looks like. The only thing that matters is the quality of people behind the wheel. From my general experience, vette owners hang pretty high up there at the top.

The NSX despite its strengths, will forever be known as the overpriced Corvette.
I've only seen one at the dragstrip in my many trips there, and he refused to race my 85 vette. He was only interested in picking on the slow integras and civics that worshipped him.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Did this guy even drive one, before he wrote the article? I drive mine around and don't want to get out. Hell it's winter now, I've gone to just sit in her.
Laurel... please never give us the mental image of chest hair again... please, I'm begging you.
How dare Vette aficionados ask that the performance flagship of GM... perform! ;-)

The author of the article has a bias towards the NSX for sure, but that doesn't make his points any less legit. Facts are, Corvettes are NOT very comfortable, they DO cost a lot, and a majority of the owners are *****'s. When you buy one, some of your friends will call you a 'vette snob'. It's not as bad as the fbody crowed where everyone is expected to wear a wife beater, have a pack of marlboro red's on the dash and a bandana on the side mirror, but still.

I'm on the fence about a ZR1. 30+ grand more for what 100hp doesn't seem right to me. Anything made in the 80s/early 90s with a 60k+ price tag better be made in Italy.
I have a whole boatload of reasons for switching to the C4, but comfort + economics were NOT on the list

Maybe she's frech?

Ever see how a grand national performs against the same year (non-zr1) vette?

Haha, I've used the fall in climb out description myself. Maybe I'm young enough that it doesn't bother me. Especially once I'm behind the wheel. I've driven and riden in a whole bunch of cars, Jeeps, Audi's, BMW's, imports. I feel very comfortable behind the wheel of the Vette, sinking into the seat, it grabs you. Maybe when I get older my opinion will change. Or maybe I'm the kind of person they had in mind when doing up the C4 suspension, I like to feel the road.
And yes... yes I am obsessed. :-)

Don't forget the el camino project parked in the front yard.
