if anyone knows about this it would help i am currently looking at a 92 red corvette great shape great price. the owner said the previos owner had computor replaced and the odometer re set to zero.is this possible and if so is there any other way to tell the true milage.the car looks great it is showing 20,000 miles and when the odometer re set it had55,000 so he says true milage around 75,ooo .how can i be sure and is there any fix for this problem thanks don
Right, and you only have the first 100 miles in which you can do it without getting locked out. I don't know why some mechanics who clearly don't have the Tech 1 and properly programmed mass storage cart would do the CCM replacement when they can't finish the job, but this isn't the first time I've heard of one doing just that.
WOW, the car sat for 4 months and the odometer reset itself. I wouldn't walk away from that one, I'd run like hell. Bullsh!t lies like that and what else is he lying about?
Side note, I just went out into the garage and my 90's odometer has reset itself to zero over the winter since it has been sitting since October.
