Weird Speedo Behavior
When I come to a complete stop the speedo starts displaying random speeds, i.e. it will jump from 0 to 5 to 4 back to 0 to 20 to 8, etc. However when I am driving the mph is right on the money (matches my gps exactly). Has anyone ever heard of this? I have a 96 LT4. Thanks, Richard

Check the connection at the transducer in the tailshaft housing (the speed sensor, its like a big ABS sensor) The part its self may even be on the way out. Also unplug the connector and see if it has fluid leaking through the center of it.

Mine does this. I always assumed it was the speed sensor and put it on the list to fix "one day". Wait until it jumps to 220 mph with your speed adjustment on the radio turned on. That will wake you up.
