Cleaned out the garage today to make room for my first Vette. At the end of the day I had the floor striped so I could back in and still fit the 2 bikes in and have room to walk. It took me 5 minutes to back it into the perfect right spot.
Am I too ****, anyone else do this? , park in the same place and closest to the wall, etc. Just thought it would be a funny read if anyone is as goofy as I looked to my neighbors today.
I park mine at an angle, nose closet to the wall. This is so my wife won't door ding it when she gets out of her van with a kagillion things in her arms. This gives her more room to open her door. Have to explain this to every neighbor who observes me pulling in. I rigged the garage door beam so it wont close unless my vette is perfectly pulled in .
I have a poster on the garage wall (passenger side) and always line my passenger side mirror up with the edge of the poster for perfect back-to-front spacing every time.

Critical in a small garage. I was parking my fullsize F150 in the garage and had it inches from hitting everything, to make as much room for the vette.
I'm designing a new garage now, trying to figure out how narrow will be tolerable.
I don't even have a garage. You can call home and ask my wife. (from an old Charlie Daniels tune). I really , really want a multi car garage. Someday..........maybe..........

Only time mine sees a garage is dring the winter time. I clean this ladies garage out, sweep the floors and move things around to make more room. Lay down carpet and back her in close to the wall giving her plenty of room.
During the summer she sits outside.

I use the old "tennis ball on a string" trick. When the ball touches the windshield in front of my nose, I'm where I wanna be. My wife questioned my sanity at first, then agains she still does.

I,ve used the tennis ball for years and it works great. Now all I need to do is figure out how to ger my wifes cats to run away from home.
I live in a town house and park mine in the same spot right in front of my door my neighbor even helps out by leaving the space open for me when his friends come over
If you look behind my Vette on the passenger side I put a reflective stripe of red tape on the edge of the door. I can see that red stripe day or night and I back in watching the stripe in the passenger side mirror right against the side of the Vette. Park in the exact same spot every time. Same thing on the PT Cruiser with a red stripe (unseen in this pic) in the back of the garage. I have markers on the sides also so I don't go back too far.
