Default It's been fun, but..

I'm out! Thanks for all of your help throughout the past 2 years.

I bought my '88 back in the summer of 2005, but traded it in today.

Got me a 2003 GMC Sonoma Pickup Truck. V6, Power NOTHING (haha)

I couldn't pour any more money into the 'Vette. I just replaced the targa top not even a week ago and my speedometer started to go. I needed a reliable car.

I don't see this as a goodbye forever, just a goodbye for now. I plan on re-joining the Corvette family down the line. Right now just isn't the time for me.

So thanks again and y'all drive safely =)

Sorry to hear you got rid of it. Were you still making payments on it when you traded it in? If not then you should've kept it on the side and bought a daily driver. Hope you get another soon.

Thanks, all =)!

No, there were payments on it. I paid off $8000 in less than a year. My replacement truck cost over $10,000 but we got them down to about $7000 and I financed about $6000 of it. I can't complain about a deal like that =D

I'm sorry, I must have Daylight Savings Time lag. I'm trying to do the math on how much you got for the Vette but I'm stumped. What did they give you as a trade in?

Derek, I know what you mean by wanting a vehicle that is reliable.
Take care and yes, on down the road, return to Corvette.

I can certainly understand the constant spending money, good luck and you will probably be back some day.

Corvette's are like children...if you can't take care of them it's best to wait until you can to have them.

Come back soon, enjoy your truck.....
There's one thing about a truck you should know just in case this is your first one.... Once you HAVE a truck.... you just CAN'T live WITHOUT one EVER again.

I went to one dealer a few months back and they only wanted to give me $3500. Went to this one and they only wanted to give me $3000. I lied and said the other wanted to give me $4500 and I ended up getting $4750 for it.

It's a huge loss for myself, since I bought it for $8000 PLUS all of the maintenance to fix it up. But the money I lose it it now will be a gain for the money I was about to lose on it once again.
