Combining shock brands / types
Say you are on a budget and occasionally autocross your car..
Are there any cons or potential problems by using a non adjustable performance shock (like the Bilstein Z51 shock) in the rear and spending the greater portion of your shock budget on the fronts? (like for some QA-1's)
I found that when I was autocrossing my modified SHO years ago, I never really adjusted the rears whether I was at an event or driving the car back and forth to work.. they were just set at 4/5 full stiff. I did change the fronts frequently though.
I was thinking it might be a good combination to have multi position adjustables up front but and the 'slightly stiffer than stock' rears.
Cost wise it would save $230 to go with that combination.. ($570 vs. $800)
Of course there are other combinations as well.. I'm more interested in peoples thoughts on combining the different brands / styles.

Of course, if you can find rears that are perfect, you should be able to find front non-adjusts that are perfect, too.....and then you wouldn't need to spend the $$ there either.
The reason adjustable shocks exist is that finding perfect non-adjustable shocks is nearly impossible. If you can do it, then good on ya', mate.
