I just thought I would share this... On my way home from work yesterday, I saw a red C5 pulling a trailer with a 1930's MG, also in red. Looked like the real deal. Not a VW based kit.
hmm mine says don't pull anything it is not a tow vehicle if you wanted a tow truck you should have bought one. but they may have realized some people are gonna want to since there isn't any room for luggage so they made provisions mine is an 87 so it may have changed later.
I don't understand why everyone usually is concerned about the trans and drivetrain. On the vette this is more stout than most small pickups.
I'd just be concerned about the attachment points and the tongue weight.
That is about my only concern. I spoke with my trans builder
and he feels the trans currently in the car is able to handle it.
The engine builder also thinks the motor is snotty enough to pull it.
If I can safely attach it, and ground clearance is addressed, I may just do it. If it pisses off the purests, that is bonus. I do have a full size cargo van that I use for work. The thoughts of having to drive it on the weekends as well just upsets my stomach

I dunno, I heard that your trans builder gave you that thing for the cost of parts.
Anyone operating with that low of an overhead obviously doesn't do good work.
You can easily raise the rear of the car by spinning the spring bolt nuts on another inch or so and put some jam nuts on them for safe measure. I assume the spring can carry more than the car's weight, if not, it would snap everytime you hit a speed bump.
Hey Pete,
I say...Go for it. My uncle towed the race vette with a vette. It looked pretty cool.
If your worried about tongue weight, you could always pop the hatch off and go with a 5th wheel setup.
