I don't think they are the same. But the leatherique products are awesome.

Not trying to steal your thread Jim, but are these liquid dyes that could be used for a small spot repair that will stand up to usage, like on a seat?

Yes, I'm redying my seats, and repairing, and dying my steering wheel.

I don't have as much money as Mojo, so all I could do is wait (for about a year) until I found the right deal (low price but good quality) seat for my vert. Those guys who brag about never putting their top up? - their seats are all dried out, discolored, and cracked. Anyway, the mounted cushions I got are in really good shape considering, but have a couple of small wear spots that I would really like to touch up with a brush-on type stain. Where do you get this stuff? My local leather shop told me to forget it, and hadn't pursued the idea until I saw this thread. So there is dye that will hold up?

Yes these are liquid dyes, I re-dyed my seats this winter and I am very happy. The leather was "cardboardish" before. They had no tears or holes just worn and hard, so replacing the leather didn't make economic sense. By following the instructions on Leatherique 's site I was able to redo my seats and they look and feel like new.

I thought I had posted it here but can't find it so here is the link. If you have any questions drop me a PM.

I also found the difference leather magic, uses a water based dye, leatherique uses a solvent base. Mojo, my seats are ok just need refreshing. Now that I'm retired , I'm on a tighter buget, but can still afford a crab trip., Jim.

I did a seat re color on a Ford Exploder with a product from the auto paint store. Its meant to be sprayed on. It works really well.

You go to the automotive paint store with your interior color number its usually on the door jam. The material is used for new interior panels when the panels are replaced.

I forgot the name of it but I think a Sema product, and they mixed it at the store the match was 99% it went on a worn out leather seat.

A automotive paint store is your best for re-finishing products.

Everything else I tried in past didn't work all that well.
