Alarm
After working on this 84 for about a year now,last Sat.,as I was backing into a spot,I shut off the car,set the electric locks {passenger lock didn't engage entirely,took a couple of tries} and then the ALARM went off,something I didn't even know worked,was now beeping the horn. I tried to restart the car,nothing. So I disconnected the horns,still nothing....What's up with that?.....Does the alarm only work in reverse?......I Jiggled the passenger slide lock,and then everything worked again....Car started and things are fine again......How can I disconnect this stupid alarm system forever?

Might be easier just to fix the problem affecting the alarm. Door switches are fairly cheap. I had an aftermarket alarm installed recently and the passenger door switch created a big headache for the installer as it is the main door switch.
