I recently have joined the ranks of the corvette owners and am trying to eliminatge my first problem. The PKE light is on in my 1994 Corvette and I want to try all avenues before going under the dash. Here is where I am at; I have a brand new PKE transmitter along with the old one. I cannot get the PKE Light to flash to accept either. THe light will go on and off alternatingly when I put in the key. I have checked the 12, 28 and 40 fuses. I have not read the codes yet and looking for a good place to buy a grounding plug. I consider myself an above average garage mechanic. This has not worked since I bought the car.

Man - I felt sorry for 'ya because no one was answering!
Next to "Seafoam" and "T-stats" - the PKE issue seems to be in about third place as far as the subjects with the most "hits".
Can't help you too much because "fortunately" - my PKE works pretty good . . . so far. Don't know what you've done, so I'll assume not much and start by pointing out post number 7 in the following thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1649728
Remember that this thread is talking about a '96 and there may be a difference copared to a '94 when it comes to "fooling" around with the programming of the PKE fobs and other "fixes".
After that, I'd do a "search" - in this forum (see top of forum page) and "search" the word "PKE" and see what you get. Should be a considerable amount of reading "material". You should find quite a bit of information there. What you'll most likely see is folks disabling the system because it's a PITA . . . and it can be if it doesn't work right.
Do you have your manual? (I realize that may be a dumb question) If so, did you follow the instructions. May need to get your hands on a shop manual or find someone that has one that can help you out. Almost sounds like it's "lost" it's mind and it needs to be (Bill Gates syndrome) re-booted - but don't take that as "official".
Don't think I was much help - but at least you got an answer.
I'm one of the "unfortunate" ones. Though my PKE light on my DIC would remain lit all the time. I eventually just took out the PKE fuse. If you have the FSM, there is a PKE diagnostic chart that you can follow that will narrow down the cause of your PKE problem, ie weak fob battery, PKE module malfunction...
