Man oh man; What a fun day at the autocross. One off course and one really bad time out of 8 runs. The wifes Porsche didn't want to co-operate this morning and it broke down about two blocks from the house. Towed it home and took the 91 up in it's place. Spouse against spouse, Vette against Vert, L98 against the supercharged 383. She had the power I had the suspension. For the first time evar, I beat her on the course. Lost it twice trying to be super aggressive and ended up doing 360's. Whoo Hoo (was worth the bad time on the run). Wiped out a couple of cones and here's the aftermath. Remember....Take it to the track.......Do not try this at home ............And for all my friends up north, Spring is right around the corner.
funny how a simple autocross is soo much damn fun that we can laugh about battle wounds like that BUT if the neighbor kid would have done it with his bike tires we would want to kill him. lololol
I always look at those as my trophies!! Maybe because I rarelly win a real one!! BUT its a hell of a good time!!

I've found auto-x are more fun when you are not supposed to be racing there in the first place. Did quite a few of those in college and always got away.
You have 2 c4's (one boosted) and a porsche, a wife who's willing to support this let alone RACE YOU at a x-cross event!! She's probably a 10 w/double d's too.... just rub it in!!
plus, cones are softer than paint so it will probably buff right off.
Neither my wife or I would rate even near a ten. If she was a ten, someone else would have already stolen her from me. I'll leave that to your fantacies. But she is a keeper none the less. She does more guy stuff than most guys. She's also a fisher women ,baits her own hook and cleans the fish. We have old cars 90,91 and 87. The three together add up to half the price of a new Vette (Z06). I'd rather have three. As for her cones, they're more than adequate since, as I indicated in the opening thread,............... I am a conehead.
Great story Tommy...yeah, spring is right around the corner (I hope). Woke up to some snow on Monday and it was colder than chit this morning...one of these days I am going to wake up the 1992,,,she's been sleeping since October 2006!
Be well and drive safe!
Have you noticed that no matter how nice the cones are that you're used to, there seems to be a natural curiousity to want to see the cones that the other fellow is used to....
