After a lifetime, I finally own a Vette! I took delivery on a 1992 Torch Red on Red coupe 6 speed with all the options (sans that ride control thing!)!! I'll tell y'all, it is everything I dreamed of for 31 years! Oh, ok, we'll say 29 years, I didn't see a vette for the first couple of years of my life... call me sheltered. Horse power, handling, looks.... it's all I have waited for!
:seeya Save the wave!!!
Congrats and welcome. I also wanted a Vette for 30+ years before taking the plunge earlier this year. Amazingly I look forward to driving to work each day now!!
I know how that feels! I'm no longer in a hurry to get anywhere! The longer I sit in the seats, the better I feel. Of course, the wife wants to know why it takes an hour longer to get home with twice the horsepower I had before!!
well i never wanted a corvette, my florida tag is "8ur vett" i had a saleen and i was pro ford. i could have gotton a vett at the age of 20 but i bought a saleen instead.. now looking back and at the age of 23 i wish i would have gotton a corvette and i would have saved alot of money.. i have a corvette now and i love it... i hope you enjoy your car. just think 31 years of waiting for a car that you always wanted must mean alot more to you then to me that have a corvette .. i wish you alot of fun keep safe and everyone on the board is really great .. they will help you out in every way... you take care

Congrats on the purchase. The best day is when you get the keys from the dealer or the previous owner and
you are on your own. I still feel that everyday when I go to work or just going somewhere close by.
When you get a chance post a pic so that you have it in your sig...
I'd love to post an pic, but I haven't figured out how just yet... any clues?

Congrats and welcome. I like the year! I got mine when I was 29. Had to have it before I turned 30. Hey Bob, same B-day, July 7, but I'm a '67, not a '69.
Best luck

Let's just say my wife wasn't the most willing participant in my getting the Vette, but so far, the most memorable thing that has happened was when I punched it in 2nd and got a "Wow" from her sweet lips!! That was worth more than anything! :D
Congratsand welcome to the forum. Your in Norcross also, alot of people here from the Atlanta area. Be cool and be safe with all those crazy people on the roads there.:)
Nice job, dude! I bought a new 1995 automatic coupe when I was 49 years young. Drove it for a while, then traded for a '98 Z71 pickup (still have it), however, missed the 'vette so I bought a 1992 6 speed 'vert. Now I know what I had been missing.
