I knew that I was just nver going to be happy at the old place, so
I did move out of the original place into another one that's much closer to my house so that I can keep an eye on what's going on. Also the new one has a south facing door to take advantage of some heat from the sun. In addition,I bought a huge tarp to cover the entire floor area of the space.
Thanks again for all the thoughts and input.

My diagnosis is the concrete was poured WITHOUT a VAPOR BARRIER under it.

Concrete by nature is LOADED with WATER but...............
Eventually the water will evaporate from the concrete. That can take 6 MONTHS depending on the local climate.

At that point moisture from the ground SHOULD be stopped by the VAPOR BARRIER under the concrete... that is IF there was a VAPOR BARRIER placed under the concrete before it was poured.
IF THERE WAS NOT............A L-O-T of water will FOREVER come up thru the concrete....forever and ever, Amen.

Not near Roswell, NM are you???

Take car out of unit. Let it sit in sun with windows down for about a week. At night, crack windows open unless weather is bad. Good chance of condensation inside of everywhere. You need to get that veh dried out.
