Default Tail light black outs

I have a problem that is driving me nuts. I have a set of blackouts that I got from MidAmer. There wasn't any instructions in the box. A couple of Questions. Are they all the same size? (They almost look like two different sizes.) Also, I can't get them to slide into the tail light holes in the bumper. Would some kind of lube help? I guess if they are that tight they won't fall out! One last thing do they go all the way back and rest against the lens? Thanks

I have them on my car and they sit just about flush with the outer bevel. I do believe they were all the same size, but I did do some sanding on the edges to get a perfect fit. No lube!

They don't attach to something? I thought I read that they come with hardware.

Mine slide sweetly in, all the way up against the red lens.

No lube, no hardware, friction fit only.

Mine just slid on. But i did put a little clear caulking in the corners to make sure they didn't pop off anytime soon.

I've heard of people saying they lost one. Thats why i used the caulking. I mean there isn't anything holding them in so they can if you don't watch it.

I had a hard time getting mine on too.
My car was painted before I bought it and there was overspray that made the fit tight, but I got them to stay. I did lose a front one due to the double-sided velcro tape they provided. I just used regular double-sided tape to reinstall. (I was lucky it fell off in my drive way).

Surprisingly, no.

To get 'em out I have to work a very small-bladed screwdriver into a corner, break the suction, and then they pop out.

I got the flat carbon-fiber looking ones, they came with angled brackets with tape to hold them in, they seemed super tight. Didn't want to force them in, maybe I'll try sanding...

post up when you get this issue resolved...

You guys want to black out everything? The guy that painted my car talked me into it.... I like it

Look for some kind of spray product.....Theres been threads here about it

With the spray you can black out everything... 3rd brake light, side markers, reverse lamp lenses....

Park lamps are on in the 1st one

Sorry I dont know what the exact product used was...The painter told me but I cant remember
