One of my favorite cars for many reasons!! 1989, ZR-1+mods and no extra BS eqipment just motor!! and my favorite rims [Dymags]. I'm pretty sure car is still at museum but don't know if it is currently on display?? Will have to check when I'm there for C-4 Gathering in May!

There was a body kit that Morrison did. Which is the molds you are talking about.
The true one off Snake Skinner was a GM exercise which they upped the horsepower in a ZR-1 and then took out the excess weight. The result was a kick *** car.
GM or the NCM owns the one and only Snake Skinner. You're thinking of the street skinner.
My BEAST2 is one of Jim VanDorn's "Street Skinners"
Guess there was only one true Snake Skinner (the museum car) but Morrison also put his Snake Skinner body pieces on ZR1s and "tweaked" the LT5...depending on how much the customer wanted to pay. Some of ZR1s with the Morrison treatment also carried the Snake Skinner badges etc. Following are some pictures of one of the earlier ones with this treatment. The original owner had the car shipped from the factory directly to Morrison. About 6 months later the customer took delivery from Morrison. Even though the paint color in the pictures looks like the ZR1 turquoise used in 90 & 91: it's a custom easter egg blue green with pearl. This ZR1 with all it's Snake Skinner markings is still around and last time I saw it it had only ~ 10 K miles on it. It's in poor condition from neglect but it is REAL and has reams of documentation of the evolution from factory build of a Stock ZR1 to a Morrison Snake Skinner to prove it!
