Man i could not believe it, damn nothing is bullet proof, so far iam lucky, my halfshaft u-joints are still stock 22 yrs old and still holding pretty good, my best so far 12.321 and i once got 1.70 60 ft time, still have dana 36 too.
Hey rich i saw u last yr when i was travelling from atlanta to pete k's home somewhere near I81 i was just 1/2 hr to pet k's home and u were heading opp direction in ur GS with trailered wheels n tires might u were heading to drag strip.
Sorry about the car Rich.
Will you have it back together for your next race? (I hope so)
What did you do that engine??? OMG that sounded like a total beast!!
What kind of compression do you have in it?
Sami, must of been another GS. Mines on the trailer not towing one. There are a few GS in the area. There are about 40-50 registered in PA. I'm prolly only 15-20 min from Pete's
Dave only ran once to a 11.28@125. The car seemed to be not as crisp on the top end, but it felt the same way at Richmond with a 11.50 and the stock intake. I never got a chance to check out why and thought is was the gas. So I need to check the plugs and sensors along with everything alse. So I can't say if it helped or hurt yet.
Laurie, the compression is around 11.0. Good to see you again.
I thought the Lakewoods would be stronger than the Spicers the way they looked. I'm going to get them cryo'd along with the spindles and shafts and see what happens.
It seems as though the stroker motors and stock rear suspension do not get along too well on the C4. My Dad's old C4 396 is still tearing up u-joints to this day, not to mention two broken spindles.
I give you a lot of credit for your perservance in trying to keep it all working
It was great seeing you and Jayme again...maybe next time I'll stop by the house instead of the round about way you know via E-town or both I know you will have it back together very soon
