Please see photo. It's been hanging there so long that I can't remember exactly where it goes. Can't find a screw hole underneath the kick panel. This is a '93. Does anyone have a picture of their's in the correct location?

just tuck it up under the bottom of the dash panel. It good to have it extendable when you need to get at it for measurements. Mine is same way, as matter of fact, one repair guy pulled the connector to the left side of the dash out the side by the steering wheel. LOL...
