None of my tires stick out. They all fit nice.
I used adapters not spacers!
If you use adapters then you will need acorn lugs to hold them on, and reg nuts to hold the wheels on.

Nice job, Dan... It's really incredible what a set of rims can do to the appearance of a car. I think I read it already, but it bears repeating...it looks at least 10 years newer...enjoy them!

There is no arguing the fact that the car looks better. I personally, would have never used adapters, I'd have found correct fitting wheels (and did). I also, in my opinion, think that the wheels are way to big. Call me a traditionalist but I just don't care for that oversized look. JDLR - Just Doesn't Look Right.
And of course, you can't rotate those wheels at all. You can't even move them to the other side (I'm assuming your tires are directional).

Hello All,
I just finished painting my 86 vette and replaced the interior and went with the Chrome C6 wheels. Check it out.

Hi Guys,
My Vette is not lowered, but I dont think it changed the height of the car much. I think the wheels changed the whole appearance of the car. I have received many compliments about the wheels. There are alot of corvette owners that do not want to change the wheels on thier vettes and keep them all original. That is fine. But, I will keep my original wheels and when someday the C4 values sky rocket then maybe I will go back and put the original equipment back on it. But for now, I am going to enjoy my new wheels and live baby!
I do appreciate all the information about the size adapters, etc. You have made this project alot easier for me. I will tell you that my C4 handles better (steering and bumps) and the traction is much better too. BTW this was a very abused corvette. I have done alot of work on it, but it needs paint, carpet kit and seats redone and a few other things. It was powder black from the nice Florida sun, before I buffed the crap out of it. My mission is to make it mint. It has come a long way though. The name of my Vette is Frankenstein. It is part of the Save a Vette Program. Take care all.

Wow. I have been considering some ZR-1 replicas for my '87, but now I'll have to think about some C6 wheels as well. Decisions, decisions...
I'll keep my original wheels though...

Where did you get that bumper on your red C4. That looks great! Anyway, I bought C6 ZO6 rims from a forum member. . . same ones shown on this thread. When I get the rear rubber, I post pics. I may have to lower the rear of the car an inch to get the proper stance I think.

Soon baby.....Very Soon
Im just waiting for the rear rubbers to arrive. They are Kumhos Ecstas 285-35-19. SWEET! I bought these set for 300 bucks!! That seems to be the going price if you get a C6 guy who is upgrading to the chrome wheels. These wheels are much much lighter that tne stock sawblades.
